Cookie & Browser Storage Policy

Effective Date: August 23, 2026

1. Essential Technology

hCaptcha: Contact and letter forms use hCaptcha to distinguish people from abusive automation. It may use cookies or similar browser technology and processes device, IP, and interaction signals. Forms cannot be submitted without this check.

Photo likes: Your liked-photo choices are kept in local storage on your device and normally expire after 30 days.

Session state: The site keeps a preload flag and location refresh time for the browser session. Contact-form answers, uploads, gallery history, and form progress are never saved there.

Privacy choice: Your analytics choice is stored locally until you change it, clear site data, or use a browser privacy signal.

Private administration: Clerk may use essential authentication cookies on restricted admin routes. Public visitors do not receive an account.

2. Optional Analytics

PostHog and Vercel Analytics remain off unless you select “Allow analytics.” PostHog browser persistence, autocapture, session replay, person profiles, query strings, referrers, and geolocation enrichment are disabled. Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights provide aggregated traffic and performance measurements. Form answers are not sent to either service.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals override a stored choice and keep optional analytics disabled.

3. Your Controls

Use “Privacy Choices” in the footer to allow or withdraw optional analytics. Browser settings can clear all local and session storage. Blocking hCaptcha may prevent form submission; declining analytics does not affect the site.

4. Further Information

The Privacy Policy explains purposes, recipients, retention, and your data protection rights. Questions may be sent to josefine.edel@proton.me.
